    Learning Center Programs Program Description

COMPUTERTOTS® and COMPUTER EXPLORERS® are computer literacy programs that provide children with a creative, discovery-oriented computer experience. In our learning centers, each child receives 60 minutes of instruction once a week in a very small groups of 4 students with theme based and project based curriculum.

The unique COMPUTERTOTS®/COMPUTER EXPLORERS® curriculum allows children to enter at any time. Each month, new computer software programs are introduced. Because we offer new computer experiences each month, new students are not at a disadvantage. The four sessions per month are directed toward computer experience with varied creative, education software program. While focusing on technology skill development, the sessions also focus on introductory computer concepts and vocabulary. The major activity of all computer classes is "hands-on" computer experience, which emphasizes the enjoyable and ever versatile use of the computer in learning.

Our teachers are specially trained to teach children by using our proprietary teacher training methods. Each teacher goes through an intensive initial training program and attends monthly in-service trainings. These training focuses on curriculum design, classroom instructional strategies, a review of current software programs and instruction in new computer concepts.
